Elephant's piano keys

This is another piece of a series I worked on exploring the relationship between man-made products and the animals that they come from. In this case it's elephants and piano keys.

Another fun piece to make. In real life, I've added some gloss medium to the piano keys making them have a little bit of a shine compared the to the elephant trunk. Very abstract and not instantly recognizable as an elephant trunk but I'm ok with that. It's roughly 2 ft X 2ft, and is done in acrylic with some tracing paper underneath for added texture.
